Job Summary
Hutch's Home Furnishings is looking for a Delivery & Warehouse Associate to join our team! As a Delivery & Warehouse Associate, you are a key member of the team! You are responsible for delivering household goods to our clients. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees. You will also be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock.
This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, energetic, and enjoy helping people. Ideally, you are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis. 
 

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and different routes
  • Follow route and schedule
  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
  • Completing paper and electronic documents per company procedures
  • Preparing appliances and mattresses for delivery and presentation on showroom floor. 
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
  • Plan and organize materials and items in the warehouse, including inventory tasks
  • Handle and execute shipping operations
  • Maintain, clean and repair assets for use in the warehouse and field
  • Manage equipment, product, and supplies
  • Cleaning the showroom, restrooms, and product to ensure we always remain in grand opening condition. 
  • Maintains high activity/productivity level
  • Other operational/clerical duties as assigned by manager

Experience/Education:

·         1 year experience
 

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective relationships with current customers and vendors
  • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Speaking- Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

  • Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100lbs.

Compensation: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
